Online learning
Self-paced lessons, interactive scenarios, guided practice and knowledge assessment. Suitable where the applicable programme allows the intended learning and assessment to be achieved remotely.
DESIGNED AROUND THE LEARNING OUTCOME
The right format for the competence you need.
A course may be delivered entirely online, online with live video sessions, or through a blend of online, video and in-person training. The permitted design depends on the applicable requirements, the organisation’s approval and programme, and the practical competence and assessment involved.
Self-paced lessons, interactive scenarios, guided practice and knowledge assessment. Suitable where the applicable programme allows the intended learning and assessment to be achieved remotely.
Online preparation combined with scheduled instructor-led sessions, discussion, coached exercises and feedback. Attendance and participation requirements are stated in the programme.
Online study and live video combined with supervised practical training, equipment use or demonstrations in person where the learning outcome and applicable requirements call for them.
Completing an online module does not replace a required practical exercise or supervised demonstration. For example, EASA cabin-crew initial training includes practical elements. Each programme identifies its learning components, required attendance, assessment and the scope of the completion document.
Some courses are organised in agreement with partner schools, CCTOs, ATOs or operators. Responsibilities and any additional practical training or operational authorisation follow that specific arrangement.
